Health & Safety

Active Health and Safety Representatives are vital to ensuring that employers meet their legal requirement to provide their staff with a safe working environment. Training for reps is available through the regional education programme and branches are encouraged to recruit members and stewards into the role. At regional level we hold a Health and Safety Forum which normally meets quarterly, allowing for an exchange of issues and best practice between branches. All branch H&S officers are encouraged to attend these meetings.
