UNISON is about more than representing and organising members at work. Issues in the wider world affect our members just as they affect all members of society. We campaign for better public services because our members and their families use them as well as provide them. In this globalised world of multi-nationals one issue impacts on another. For instance, environmental issues show how important it is for us to campaign across national boundaries.
