Local government pay matters.

This year pay rises in the Local Government sector matter more than ever. Why? Because the cost of living is riding high and pay rises over the last four years have not kept up. What's more, local government pay is the lowest in the public sector and so-called 'efficiency' savings are leaving fewer employees to keep services going. Employees are still doing more for less money.
